April was absolutely amazing! She took the time to get to know us and created a beautiful, personalized ceremony for us. She was incredibly personable and professional. After the wedding, everyone told us how unique and creative our ceremony was. I highly recommend her!

April made us feel comfortable from the moment we met her. She guided us and gave us suggestions along they way. She created a personal and memorable wedding ceremony that expressed exactly the tone we were looking for. With tears and laughs from both our selves and our guests. She was a pleasure to work with and to get to know!

April married us during the freak snow storm in October. She was amazing. Her words were perfect and she told our story so beautifully. She is kind and patient and was perfect for us. I have been told by everyone how much they loved how personal our ceremony was. They were touched by each detail and they held on to each word as we were married. We found April just two months ago after our first celebrant canceled on us. She had our date open and ran a perfect rehearsal to us. She is simply amazing and I would recommend her to anyone! Thank you April, the ceremony was more than I could have ever imagined!!

April was an amazing celebrant. When my husband and I went to meet her for the first time we instantly felt as though we had known her our entire lives. She is sweet and caring, and willing to listen to every question and concern you might have. We were a bit nervous about our wedding ceremony since we came from two very different religions and wanted to stay away from a religious ceremony completely to keep everyone happy. She was so understanding and extremely helpful. She gave us ideas on how to incorporate our different family backgrounds into a wedding that was exactly "US". Not only was she a great celebrant, but she was a great friend and counselor. She walked me through everything and calmed my fears about the wedding day chaos. She took the time to get to know both of us and find out what our relationship was about and what we really wanted our wedding ceremony to look like. One the day of the wedding she was the commander and she made sure everyone was ready and knew what was expected of them. I loved her for taking the lead and organizing everyone since we were all over the place. The wedding was amazing. We laughed, cried, and loved. Our guests loved the unique and sweet way she was able to capture our long time relationship. Because of her we were able to give our guests a glimpse at our 9 year walk to aisle. At the end of the day it wasn't just a typical wedding ceremony. It was ours and ours alone. People loved how intimate and loving the ceremony was. April really cares for each and everyone of her couples. She mothers you through the process. I can honestly say that when you are up in front of everyone on wedding day and nervous she is a great person to have in front of you. I love her for making our wedding day everything I dreamed it could be and more!

A few years ago, I attended my sister's best friend's wedding. Her friend is Jewish and she married a Christian man. Typically I never pay attention during the ceremony because I find it boring. However, April caught my attention at this wedding and I found myself listening and was intrigued throughout the whole ceremony. Although I was single at the time, I told myself that I want April to marry me one day because it was the most beautiful and amazing ceremony I have ever attended. Well, a few years later, I met the love of my life who happened to be Catholic (I am Jewish). I mentioned April to him and he agreed to meet with her. We set up an appointment and hired her on the spot! At the rehearsal, friends and family could not say enough nice things regarding April. They kept saying how great she was and knew she was the perfect choice. They also were so pleased with how warm and friendly she was with everyone. Even my dad who wanted a rabbi to marry me told me that since I married out of the religion I could not have found a more perfect person to marry me and that he was beyond pleased with our choice. April did an amazing job at our ceremony and so many guests raved about her. They kept saying how beautiful the ceremony was and how it was so different and unique from any ceremony they have been to...additionally, she did a fantastic job telling our love story and really captured our love for one another. One of my best friends who was a bridesmaid in my wedding is having April marry her next year and my sister who is hopefully getting engaged soon also mentioned that she would love if April could marry her as well. I highly recommend April, she is GREAT!!!

April Beer was the officiant at our wedding and the ceremony she created with us was so beautiful. Not only did it capture us as people, and our story, and love for each other, but it also made people laugh and cry. Guests at our wedding are still coming up to us and telling us how wonderful our ceremony was and that they have bragged about it to other people. Most people think the ceremony is a formality you go through, but April Beer will prove to you that it is so much more than that, and people will actually enjoy sitting through the ceremony. Having April as our Officiant for our Civil Union this past September was one of the best decisions we could have ever made. She was AMAZING from the moment Andrew & I met her last winter!!! She took the time to get to know us as a couple and was so personable. She was funny and really connected with both of us from the start! She was always available for assistance and was able to give us advice in such a natural way as if it was something we thought of ourselves. We even had a last minute venue change due to Hurricane Irene and she did not even blink an eye- and she made a point to let us know that with us going forward as planned even with the crazy weather- it was a true testament to our Love for one another.. That was one of the sweetest things that we heard that day!!! She truly has a gift and spoke from the heart. I could not feel more blessed that she was a part of our special day, and our closest family and friends could not agree more!!! Thanks April for giving us our dream come true!!! I know all the reviews here seem to say the same thing but April truly is AMAZING! She married my husband and I on July 2, 2011 in NJ. The ceremony remains my absolute favorite part of the wedding day. From our first meeting, to all the follow up meetings, phone calls, the wedding rehearsal up until the wedding day, April was a pure JOY to work with. She was always so professional and kind and over time felt more like a friend than a vendor. I like to refer to her as a friendor. She worked with us to craft a ceremony that was funny, touching and a reflection of our personalities and our family in every way. Our guest have raved on and on about the ceremony saying it was one of the best they have ever heard and I agree with them 100%! When I looked at the recording of our ceremony I am once again soothed by April's calming voice and brought to laughter and tears by her words. Hands down one of the best wedding related decisions we made was choosing her to marry us. If you are looking for a ceremony performed with love by someone who will care about not only you, but your family and your guests as well then you could not chose a better officiant than April Beer.

I'm so glad we chose April to be our officiant for our wedding day. We told her exactly what we wanted in a ceremony (personal, loving, humorous and not up-tight) and she delivered hands down. I can't even begin to count the number of people that have mentioned to me that night and weeks after how meaningful and personal our ceremony was. April was AMAZING! We met her and felt like we had known her our whole lives. She worked with us to create a beautiful touching ceremony that was unique to us. April is amazing! I can’t imagine how wonderful it must be to marry people for a living. We got married June 5th, 2011 in NJ and our wedding day was full of love and excitement. Having April officiate our civil union and tell our love story to all of our family and friends made our day so special and personal. She takes her time with every couple by meeting with them and talking about what kind of wedding they would like. She also gets to know you and asks questions about your relationship and where you see your lives going. April made sure we were happy with every step she was taking along the way and especially with the actual written ceremony. She was a great collaborator and was accommodating if we had any changes we wanted reflected in the final draft. And the final draft was truly us! April took all of the best parts of our 12+ years together and crafted our journey up until our wedding day and then added all of the hopes and dreams for our life together and shared it with everyone, making it a day truly filled with love. So many of our guests keep saying how it was the most beautiful ceremony they have ever been to. We believe it is because of April and her wonderful and joyful presence. April was an absolute pleasure to work with from the first phone call to after the wedding. She gave us a beautiful ceremony that everyone felt was personal and kept their attention. She was always quick at responding and gave us so much helpful information we would have been lost without.

From the moment we met April, we had felt that immediate connection. My husband, Andrew, and I wanted someone who could incorporate all the weird things that we loved (Star Trek and Lost being among them!) and April was up to the task. She brought me to tears in Starbucks. She created the custom ceremony for us, embraced the fact that we didn't want any sort of religious ceremony, and made everyone feel welcomed and loved. We totally dug the handfasting ritual, as my family is quite Pagan and Celtic. She even backed out of the way when we had the picture taken of our first kiss (a lot of people commented on how great that was, so you don't awkwardly get the pastor or officiant standing awkwardly in the background in the photos!) If you want a ceremony that is uniquely you as a couple, with bits of humor and sentimentality thrown in, I'd go with April. April was wonderful. She took the time to get to know us and crafted a ceremony that felt very personal. Our guests were very impressed by how much like "us" the ceremony felt. She was also very helpful with getting our marriage license, reminding us when to do it and providing instructions.

April was an amazing officiant! We received so many compliments after our wedding of how personal it was and how great it was to hear "our story" and how our relationship began. I think our guests got to know more about us from the ceremony she put together. She is able to incorporate anything you want in your ceremony and everything we chose she did flawlessly. April is very easy to get a hold of. Anytime we had a question we would call and/or email and we get a response right away. She was really fantastic to work with!!

April led us every step of the way for creating our own unique and special ceremony. Everyone at our wedding came us to and told us how much they loved it. We couldnt have asked for a more perfect ceremony completely personalized to us.

April was the first and only officiant we met with. She was absolutely wonderful in every way. Her upbeat and easy going personality helped to make us feel like we had known her all our lives. She took the time to get to know us individually and to learn the story of our relationship. She was incredibly responsive by both phone and email, highly organized, had great planning skills, and provided us with all the necessary information in the planning of our ceremony (including sample vows, potential readings, legal documentation, etc). All things combined helped to make our ceremony perfect. Throughout the planning of our special day, April became more than just an officiant to us. She is an important and cherished member of our wedding party. We just adore her and wholeheartedly recommend using April as your officiant, you will not regret it!
