Black Eyed Susies

Susan was great! She and I had a hard time connecting over the phone since I was on the west coast and we were dealing with different time zones and my busy work schedule. I felt at ease, though, when I emailed Susan a description of what I wanted and she sent me back a picture of exactly what I had in mind. I should explain that I only got bouquets, mothers' corsages and flower petals for the flower girl (but Susan also threw in a boutonniere). She showed up exactly on time, which was really comforting for a stressed out bride. And the bouquets were absolutely perfect. I love daisies and hate roses and she took this into consideration in building my bouquet. The bouquets look great in the photos, as well. The one caution in my review is that I was a very laid back, non-picky bride. If you're more into controlling the whole process or want immediate, frequent contact with your florist, I can't say how Black Eyed Susies would work out, but for my situation, I couldn't be happier. The flowers were beautiful!

When I first met Susan, I didn't know what to expect because she was the first florist I was meeting with when planning my wedding flowers. I also, was very indecisive about my flowers when we met. I had liked so many different flowers, that I was having a hard time choosing which to use. I brought in pictures to show her the style bouquet and centerpieces I liked and she was so willing to work with me until I found what I absolutely loved. She was so professional and patient taking out different pictures of flowers and explaining them to me. I knew that if she was that willing to put up with such an indecisive bride like me, than she was definitely the right florist to chose. I changed my mind a lot throughout the flower planning and I felt so bad taking her on this roller coaster ride, but she stayed patient and confident that she would be able to get me what I wanted. Boy did she ever! I was blown away when Susan came to the hotel my bridal party was getting ready at to deliver my bouquet, corsages, and boutineers. The flowers were so amazingly beautiful! My bouquet was gorgeous, the bridesmaids' corsages came out so pretty, and the guys boutineers were so earthy I was so so happy beyond words. It got even better when we arrived at the reception. Susan and her team decorated all the tables at the cocktail hour and I had no clue she was going to do that. They did such an amazing job achieving the look I wanted.

they were amazing. when i first saw my flowers the day of the wedding and i cried!! they were beautiful and were everything i wanted and more!!! very nice to deal with too and work with you to meet the price you want!!

Black Eyed Susies did an amazing job at our wedding. We didn't know what type of flowers to go with and they helped us come to a conclusion. They did such a great job with the arrangements. They were a great, and professional group to work with. I would recommend them to everyone.

I got married back in 2009 and just found this website so i had to review this wonderful florist. Susan had done my friends wedding and i had seen how beautiful all of her flowers were and had to book her. My husband and i had always wanted candles as our centerpieces so we only needed her services for the church ceremony plus all the bouquets and corsages. From the moment we met with her for the first time to the day of the wedding, everything went very smoothly. She matched all the colors of the bridesmaids dresses to the wrapping of the steams on their flowers perfectly. She even kept a picture of their dresses colors to match it. She kept a picture of my dress and matched my beading of my dress to the wrapping of my bouquets stems brilliantly. She was on time for all the deliveres and i couldn't have been happier with her!

I do not know much about flowers, can be very indecisive at times and did not really have an idea of what I wanted for the wedding flowers. I visited many florists and Black Eyed Susies was the last... but by the end of our meeting I new without a doubt she was going to do our flowers!!! Susan is very personable and is not afraid to take creative reign... which is what I was looking for. When we went to see the sample centerpiece.... I was brought to tears... Susan created the centerpiece that I could not put into words in our initial meeting... it was beyond my wildest dreams!!!! For my bouquet I gave Susan a picture from a magazine and a picture of my dress and told her I trust her to do something beautiful. When she brought the flowers to my house the day of the wedding... I cried.... it was absolutely, amazingly, beautiful!!!!! I cried again when I saw the reception hall... it was another masterpiece!!!! Susan is an artist... she listens to you and creates a masterpiece. She is also very flexible and worked with us when we almost canceled the wedding to make sure I had the flowers of my dreams. I enjoyed working with her and wish I could have kept all of my flowers!!!! I highly recommend her and will definitely use her again!!!

I had a great time working with Susan and was very pleased with the results. She was extremely patient with me (and my mother) as we deliberated over what everything should look like. She was willing to stay late into the evening to give us the time we needed and we never once felt rushed. She also reliable and trustworthy - and delivered all of the flowers to the hotel and venue in a timely manner. Finally, and most importantly, her work is gorgeous! We particularly loved our aisle and chuppah - and my bouquet was just as I requested. Our guests raved about the flowers weeks after the event - so thank you Susan!

INCREDIBLE and AWESOME!! Don't hesitate, but rather RUN to schedule an appointment with Sue. She is hip, exciting, and fresh. Your wedding becomes HER wedding. She has the "WE can do-it" attitude - and brides need to hear that. Nothing is out of reach for her. My flowers looked beautiful on my day and I am still getting compliments. Plus, Sue has lots of ideas and suggestions and contacts! Her prices are extremely competitive. Trust me....just book her!

Susan helped us capture our tastes in the flowers and arrangements she provided. Everything fit our theme beautifully and she was an absolute pleasure to work with.

Working with Susan was great fun! I always looked forward to my appointments with her to talk over our plans. She is passionate about what she does, you see it in her work and you feel it in how she talks with you. She was genuinely happy to be able to put together what we wanted for our ceremony and reception. She listens to you and will give you what you want. She makes smart decisions and gets the most she could to fit your budget. Her years of experience can be trusted. Our wedding decor came together beautifully, we got nothing but compliments and at first sight we saw that it all looked just like we thought it would! I caught myself dazed in admiring my bouquet because it was so very pretty. Our guests were so excited to take home our centerpieces, the flowers were arranged perfectly. The little things, as she mentions on her website really do add something special. If I could get married again and again, I'd book with Black Eyed Susies every time! Thanks Susan!

Susan made the wedding what it was. She spent hours with us whenever we had meetings, listened to our ideas and made them a reality. I will truly never forget the moment I walked into our reception hall and saw the vision that had lived in my head in reality right in front of me.I would use her again in a heartbeat and highly recommend her for any event floral work.

Her work was amazing and reasonably priced. They only problem i had was flowers were missing the day of my wedding. My flower girls had no FLOWERS and my jr bridesmaids had no flowers either. Her set up was amazing and she is a very cool person to deal with. I just was sooo upset that all my flowers were not there even though they were paid for.
