Crossed Keys Inn

We were married at Crossed Keys on September 3rd, just one week after Hurricane Irene - and you never would have known! The location was beautiful, the flowers were in full bloom, and Katherine and her team made everything absolutely perfect. We are still getting compliments on our venue, the food, and the atmosphere from our guests. Katherine was great to work with and helped me design my dream wedding - and then she was there the day of to make sure everything went smoothly! We especially loved having our closest friends and family stay for an after party in the playhouse - it was a really nice touch to end the day. I highly recommend Katherine and Crossed Keys!

Having grown up in Northern New Jersey, my expectations of what a wedding could be was very low. The thought of marble floors, crystal chandeliers, a chocolate fondue fountain, and all of the other fixings of a ‘typical’ North Jersey wedding were horrifying to me. When Dan & I got engaged, we were convinced that we would never find a venue that was in line with our taste while staying in New Jersey. We had thrown around the idea of doing a destination wedding or even eloping. On a whim, I booked a several appointments to tour venues. Crossed Keys was my second and final appointment. As soon as we pulled into the driveway, I knew that this is where we would be married. I felt an instant sense of calm and comfort. Suddenly, the thought of wedding planning did not seem so daunting. All of my concerns floated away when I stepped under that tent for the first time. Needless to say, I went home and canceled all of my other appointments. Working with Katherine and Jessica during the wedding planning process was a wonderful experience. It was like having two seasoned wedding planners at your fingertips. I would send them emails on a consistent basis with random questions and/or thoughts, and I would ALWAYS have a reply in my inbox less than 20 minutes later. Katherine was able to recommend vendors who were an absolute dream to work with. She referred us to our photographer, who took some of the most breathtaking pictures I have ever seen. We also received the recommendation for our d-jay, who understood our musical vision and brought our party to life. Two and a half months later, we are still getting compliments on our wedding; the food (the Chilean Sea Bass is a MUST), the setting, the staff, everything about our wedding was perfect. Our wedding would not have been what it was without the help of Katherine and Jessica. I am so grateful that this magical venue and these wonderful people were a part of our special day.

Katherine and her able staff delivered on my daughter's vision of her wedding. Our guest are still raving about the whole experience - food, ambiance, truly lovely! I don't know how she does it. We added many personal touches to the reception decor and Katherine was willing to work with us. We had Katherine Designs do all the flower arrangements and we provided all the the vases. She nailed the flowers! PERFECT! When the photos are finished we will send some to Katherine to post on the Crossed Keys website. Almost forgot, we stayed at the main house and it felt like home, very relaxing.

It has been two months since our wedding at Crossed Keys Inn and Ajay and I are still hearing from our family and friends about how AMAZING our wedding was. It really was a perfect day, we were so lucky to have found a venue like Crossed Keys. We had a very large wedding about 300 guests, and our goal was to find a venue that would feel like an intimate wedding with again 300 guests and that is totally how it felt on our special day!! Not only is the venue a one of a kind place but so are the owners. Katherine and Jessica were absolutely amazing throughout the entire process!! They always had great suggestions along the way and made the day of the wedding the most flawless event possible! We could have never had the day we had if it was not for them and their staff!! Also I have to mention Celsos, the food was incredible and the guests could not have raved more about it all. I would highly recommend the Crossed Keys Inn to have your wedding, it was one of the best days of my life!!

It has been just over a month since we were married at Crossed Keys, and I am still getting so many compliments on our wedding! From the moment we saw Crossed Keys in January with snow covering all of the grounds, we knew we had found the place we wanted to get married! It was the first and ONLY venue we looked at, there was no need to look any further because I had fallen in love with Crossed Keys! Throughout all of the planning, whenever I had any questions, Katherine and Jessica were always there to help!! They responded to emails almost right away, and I never had any doubt or worries about anything! I can't tell you how much that helped put me at ease! When we had ideas about centerpieces and wanted a wood theme, Katherine designed and made these beautiful birch boxes! It was awesome to see how an idea and vision we had, came to fruition because of their hard work and dedication! We LOVED how they came out, everything looked so beautiful! On our wedding day, I can't tell you how many of our guests came up to us and asked, "How did you find this place? It's amazingly beautiful!" I couldn't agree more!! It is truly a magical place! We have received SO MANY compliments from our guests! I have had numerous people tell me it was the BEST WEDDING EVER!! One of those being one of my vendors! Wow, that says A LOT!! People were RAVING about the food!!! Celso and your staff did an incredible job, and everything from the appetizers to the cake were simply delicious!!! When it started to rain about 15 minutes before we were to have our ceremony in the gardens, you and your staff sprung into action moving everything under the tent! Our guests actually told us they liked the ceremony in the tent as it seemed to make the whole affair more cozy! Thank you Katherine, Celso and Jessica for everything!!! You gave me the most unforgettable wedding of my dreams, and I just cannot thank you enough!! :)

A wedding at the Crossed Keys truly has the feel of a destination wedding without leaving home. It is the most magical venue surrounded with the most breathtaking sights. We felt as if this sight was made for Jay and I. Even seeing the place in the dead of winter right after a storm we walked on the premises and knew this was the only place we could ever envision ourselves getting married. You could envision it in full bloom and you just knew it would be beautiful! And oh WOW in the heart of the summer did it blow our expectations away!!! It was the perfect balance of elegance with casual undertones that really afforded you the opportunity to make the setting so personalized to your personality like we had flip flops for our guests to kick off their shoes and dance in comfort and an ice cream cart to help cool off from the summer heat. I can not even begin to put into words the professionalism of working with Katherine and Jessica. Although I know I was only one of so many brides they were working with they never made me feel like that. They ALWAYS answered my oh so many emails so promptly and were eager to help me with any questions I had. They were so much more then working with a wedding venue they were truly like having personal wedding planners. The Crossed Keys and Event Designs from Katherine really takes your vision to a new level by going above and beyond to help make my ideas a reality. Something I could have never done without them. I can not recommend the Crossed Keys enough!!! It truly gave us the wedding of our Dreams!!!!!!! It was the most perfect day and I can not thank the staff at Crossed Keys enough!! I still can't get over the emails, texts, calls I am still getting from friends and family saying that it was "one of the best weddings they have ever been to from the food, to the setting to the staff".....I can't agree more!! If you are looking for a unique and magical venue, then this is the one! it's more than unique and magical...it's everything my husband and I ever envisioned for our wedding. We recently got married on July 23, and I will not change anything about that day. I had found the Crossed Keys website when I was browsing venues, and I did not look any further. We met with Katherine on February 2010, it was a rough winter and the grounds were covered with snow. I can honestly say that We fell in love with The Crossed Keys almost immediately. Needless to say, Katherine is absolutely amazing. She worked with us from day one! She was 100% available whenever we needed her, her suggestions were extremely helpful, and she just made everything run smoothly. I am forever thankful to her and her daughter Jessica for all of their help. We were in constant communication from the beginning. it was difficult for me since my mother lives out of the country to think of everything, but Katherine kept me grounded. Everyone that attended our wedding continues to congratulate me on such beautiful venue and delicious food. Celsos, our catering provider, also Katherine's husband, was amazing to work with. Their food was exquisite! The service was marvelous. Their bartenders, waiters, and waitresses were very professional and very friendly. I could not have asked for a better place. I know my dream became reality..not only did i marry my prince charming, but I was able to have the most amazing garden wedding I had always dreamed about. Katherine and everyone at the Inn helped me have the most beautiful wedding day! My family, friends, and of course my husband and I can not stop talking about it. It is a day I will never forget and I know I will return to the Inn for my Anniversary!

We had our wedding at the Crossed Keys Inn in Andover, NJ this summer and it was truly a magnificent event. The location is absolutely pristine-- gorgeous gardens for the ceremony, a beautiful white tent for the reception, and a rustic barn for the after-party. All of which is surrounded by acres of farmland. Our wedding day was perfect and we owe it to all the hard work of Katherine and her husband. The only reason for giving the responsiveness a slightly lower mark is because the planning process wasn't always as smooth as I would have hoped. While I completely understand that they have weddings almost every weekend, I felt at times that details fell through the cracks and they weren't as responsive as I would have liked. That being said, our actual wedding day was phenomenal. They put on quite an impressive wedding! I would HIGHLY recommend the Crossed Keys Inn to any couple.

My brother and his new wife had their wedding at the Crossed Keys Inn and it was great. My family has not stopped raving about how wonderful everything turned out. It is truly a gem in NJ. I just had my wedding at The Crossed Keys Inn on June 25th and it was amazing! From the first moment I saw the venue I knew that this was the place that I was going to have my wedding reception! Katherine and Jessica were so wonderful to work with and bounce ideas off of and I think that they did a great job of listening to what I wanted and translating it into a wonderful event. Up until the very last day they were helping me get last minute things in order. The food was phenomenal (I'm a picky eater) and everyone has continued to rave that this was the best wedding that they have ever attended! All in all if you want to work with friendly, warm people, have a unique and different wedding reception than look no further. Thank you guys again for making my special day amazing!

The Crossed Keys Inn is a spectacular venue if you are looking for something a little bit outside the box. The guests at our wedding are still talking about how amazing everything was from the scenery, the tent, the flowers (by Katherine), and the food! I had so much fun planning the event with Katherine guiding me and shaping my ideas to make everything perfect! Katherine was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had and always made time for us in her very busy schedule. Upon seeing the tent on the day of our wedding it was above and beyond my expectations. I cannot say enough about how much I love the Crossed Keys Inn!

Crossed Keys Inn is a hidden gem in New Jersey! Finding a wedding venue was a laborious and stressful process. I was a bride with a distinct vision and thanks to Katherine and her family/team, that vision came to life on 6/11/11. It has been less than one week since the "big day", and I have been overwhelmed with compliments on the execution, food, scenery and overall "feel" of the event. The country setting is absolutely perfect! The tent and surrounding areas (patio, fire pit, lawn) allow your guests to move freely in a relaxed, yet classy and tasteful atmosphere. Being the bride, I was focused on making the event my own and the large tent allows you to do just that. It is absolutely stunning by itself, but can be transformed with the tastes of each couple. Each event looks and feels special and unique as everyone brings their own personality to their wedding. That is what attracted me most to this venue. Our guests felt as if they were at our event, one that we had planned and decorated. Katherine and her family are an absolute pleasure to be around. The process was fun and interactive as she helped with decor ideas and provided many great suggestions. The flowers, which she arranged, fit perfectly with our vintage country theme and were gorgeous. I cannot end this without mentioning Celso and the wonderful food! Our guests raved about the dinner and all of the choices at our cocktail hour. I couldn't get enough of the pulled pork sliders and baby lamb chops! There is nothing I would have changed about the day! Crossed Keys Inn is just amazing! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

My wedding was yesterday and it was truly was perfect. I knew walking into Crossed keys for the first time that I had to have my wedding at this venue. The setting is amazing, and it turned out to be perfect weather for our wedding. Katherine and Jessica were so helpful, and made sure everything ran smoothly during the event. We always had food, and a drink - and not just the bride and groom, but our families and bridal party. It was perfect for the kids to run around, and friends to wonder the grounds. All my guests were impressed with the place and the food. I really couldn't have asked for anything more... make sure you get the lamb chops and sea bass!!

James and I got married on Octber 23, 2010. I knew that I wanted to have our reception there since before we got engaged. The place is beyond beautiful and the Gardens are absolutely stunning. When you are at the Crossed Keys, you feel as if you have been transported to a far off land. It's so peaceful and majestic. Throughout the planning, Katherine was there to answer any questions I had and she gave some great suggestions. On the day of the wedding, Katherine and her staff were on top of everything. Wherever we were, during the reception they made sure that we had a drink in our hands, they even reminded us to sit down and eat! They made the event flow so smoothly that everyone was able to relax and enjoy the evening. I am still recieving compliments on our wedding a month later. A lot of guests said that they felt as if they were "at home" at our wedding because they were so relaxed. The Fire pit was a huge hit and the fresh baked cookies were a nice surprise! Everyone loved that they had options on where to mingle either on the dance floor, or out by the fire pit. And because the dance floor was not overly crowded, some of the more shy guests were able to get up and dance. The food was out of this world. Everyone has been raving about the coctail hour and the amazing food. Some people have told us that it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. I couldn't have asked for a better venu. All of our wedding guests had an amazing time and James and I had the Magical wedding that we have always dreamed of. Thank you to everyone at the Crossed Keys!

Three weeks ago my husband and I were married at crossed keys inn, a gorgeous and rustic outdoor venue. Crossed Keys Inn is such a naturally beautiful location with magnificent gardens. I fell in love with the natural beauty of crossed keys inn upon seeing it the first time and I kept imagining all the possibilities. Since it is a tented wedding you have a blank slate and imagination for planning your dream wedding. As far as the food, it was delicious and the service was incredible. The staff is friendly and professional. A unique aspect of crossed keys inn is the fire pit where our guests had smores and were able to relax and smoke cigars. Katherine also recommended several vendors which turned out to be the best decision we made listening to her recommendations. She was very helpful and was able to communicate and understand what we wanted for our wedding. Three weeks later we are still receiving compliments and we have been told that our wedding was one of the best weddings ever attended by several of our guests.

Scott and I were married at the Crossed Keys Inn on October 3, 2010. From the moment we stepped onto the Crossed Keys Inn property, one year before our wedding, we knew it was the perfect place for us. The site is incredibly beautiful, and Katherine is a meticulous groundskeeper. Her grounds are breathtaking: the garden, stone house, the tent, the setting, all make the perfect site for a beautiful wedding. She even did our stunning bouquets and boutonnieres, almost all of which came directly from her gardens. The week before our wedding, she was so worried about the torrential rain on the dahlias, that she actually went out and put umbrellas over them, so that they would still be perfect for the day of the wedding! She did an incredible job interpreting my sometimes vague ideas about our vision for the day, and she really helped us make our dream wedding a reality. During the entire process, she was always there to answer our questions, offer suggestions, and listen to our ideas. We received so many compliments from our guests, and not just about the beautiful ceremony and wonderful reception--the food was over-the-top delicious--kudos to Celsos Caterers. We asked them to design a cake that was a little nontraditional and they really nailed it--I just about cried when I saw it! As for hosting us, we wanted for nothing at the reception--Katherine and her staff really took care of Scott and I, making sure we always had what we needed. The playhouse was a perfect place to retire to after the reception was over, where we were able to wind down with our closest friends and family after such an eventful day. Waking up the next morning and walking the grounds to the main house for breakfast was a wonderful way to reflect on our wedding day - most brides and grooms don't have that opportunity. Everyone at Crossed Keys goes out of their way to make you feel very special on your special day. Words can hardly describe how pleased we are with everything at Crossed Keys--suffice to say that we couldn't have asked for a better wedding. It was perfect. We couldn't be happier with our daughter's wedding. Katherine was very helpful and always eager to work with us to do the special little things my daughter wanted. She even came out of her way to attend and run the rehearsal in a different restaurant, even when she was very busy with other things. She is fun, creative, and has many wonderful ideas. We went off the menu to choose a special dish, and Katherine and Celsos did a great job. The food was just delicious. We had such a warm feeling working with this family-run Inn and caterer It was truly a special day. The grounds were gorgeous, our guests were so comfortable, and everyone had a great time. We just wish we could have danced all night!

I got married at the Crossed Keys Inn on 9/5/2010. It couldn't have been a more perfect day. It is absolutely gorgeous, amazing trees, a corn field, quaint buildings, perfectly landscaped, gorgeous views. But what makes the Crossed Keys so special is Katherine. She helped me make the day so special and for me and my husband. My greatest fear was that I would have a wedding that you could stick any other bride and groom in and it would work, I tried really hard to make customize our day and make it specific to us. Katherine was there to answer every question and offer suggestions, she helped make this a truly amazing day. Not only was she integral in the preparation, but she was so wonderful the day of. She always made sure that we had food, drinks and were comfortable. The food was PHENOMENAL. I can't tell you how many compliments we've received. Everything I tasted was delicious. I hope that I can go to a wedding there someday just to eat the food again!! The day was perfect because of Crossed Keys and Katherine!
