Josie Vega Professional Makeup Artist

Josie is the ONLY make-up artist that actually made me look like myself! I went on two other trials that I was not happy with at all before meeting Josie. By the time I got to her I was nervous...since the other make-up artists I had been to made me look like a clown when they were done(they were also well known make-up artists!) Nobody listened to what I wanted or was comfortable with except Josie. She calmed my nerves and really took the time to listen to what kind of look I wanted. Her airbrush application is amazing and not that caked up look or feeling that some foundations give. She was always available, and answered my calls promptly...she is very sociable and has a great personality..very bubbly and nice :) On my wedding day she made me feel like the most beautiful bride ever! I was SOOOOOOOOO happy with my make-up, and she is absolutely the only person I will ever trust doing my make-up. Thank you Josie...I am so glad that I found you to make me look beautiful on my wedding day!!

Josie did a wonderful job for my wedding day and I have never felt more beautiful. I do not wear much makeup normally, but she knew immediately what would work best for me. The makeup was exactly what I wanted and held up all day/night. I got tons of compliments from guests. The bridesmaids and moms were also very happy and the photos came out beautifully. And she made getting ready stress-free!

From start to beautiful finish, Josie was a delight to work with. She listened closely to the requests of each member of the bridal party and created her magic to suit each member of the bridal party. Josie is AMAZING! My wedding day make-up came out beautiful and I received so many compliments on it. My bridesmaids, mother, and mother-in-law had nothing but nice comments to say about Josie and their make-up came out wonderful as well. Also, some of the bridesmaids weren't going to get their make-up done, but changed their minds when they saw the awesome job Josie did on others. She was so patient and professional. She took the time to answer all our questions and gave us all advice on make-up. My make-up lasted the entire night and still looked excellent at the end of the night. She was extremely flexible when scheduling my make-up trial and even fit myself and my maid of honor in for a pre-wedding eyebrow shape up. She even provided me with lipstick and gloss to use throughout the night. I am so thankful I chose Josie to do my wedding day make-up. She was such a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend Josie for your make up for any occasion. She is truly the best!

The makeup looked great and it stayed on all night threw tears and breakdowns! I would recommend her to anybody looking to get their makeup done for any event.

Josie did an amazing job on my make-up!!! I liked her from the start-- when I met her for first time for my trial. I didn't really know what kind of make-up I wanted and only briefly mentioned that I wanted something a little natural looking. She was then able to do everything just by looking at my features and doing whatever she thought would look best. On the day of the wedding, she only came to do the bride, mother of the bride and 3 other girls and ended up doing a little something for all the girls in the bridal party (7 girls) because everyone loved her work!!! I've always hated getting my make-up done because I feel like I'm always moving around too much and hate not being able to talk the whole time, but my favortie thing about Josie was that she MADE me talk and in fact kept telling me that I was being too quiet... this definately kept me more relaxed. My make-up stayed on all day and night and even for the brunch the next day because I was too tired to take it off after the wedding (which I know Josie doesn't wanna hear :)). Josie also provided me with the lip stick, so that I could reapply. I would definately recommend her to everyone for their wedding!!!

Josie does amazing work, and after multiple trials with various makeup artists in the area, there was nobody who I'd trust more for my wedding. I wanted a natural look that would last an entire day / night, and it was perfect. I have already asked Josie to do my makeup again since that day, and strongly recommend her to others.

Face FX was fantastic. Originally I had only planned on getting my make up done and my mom and maid of honor were just going to come with me. At the last minute, they both decided they wanted to get their make up done as well and Face FX was able to fit us all in. My style tends to be bit more natural. Josie kept that in mind when doing my make up. It was just the perfect amount. My make-up was perfect!! Both my mom and maid of honor looked beautiful as well! ( I just wish I could look that good on a normal day! ) I would recommend Face FX to anyone looking to get their make-up done for a special occasion!

I absolutely loved working with Josie. Before even booking the event with her, my mom and I went into her shop and she gave us a make-up lesson that was absolutely fabulous. After that lesson it was a no brainer. During my trial she took so much care in making sure I would look perfect on the big day. She did an amazing job for my entire bridal party. We were so pleased with her service. I have recommended her to anyone I know that is getting married in the Red Bank area and look forward to going to an event where I have to get my make-up done, so I can have her do it.

I highly recommend Josie Vega of Face Fx Makeup Studio. Josie provided beautiful makeup application services for my wedding. She is highly professional and very easy to work with. She provided the makeup application for five of us (bride, two bridesmaids, mother-of-the-bride, and mother-of-the-groom). She also made it very convenient by working on location where we were getting ready. I generally do not wear a lot of makeup and was nervous about wedding day makeup. Josie did a fantastic job and made me feel beautiful. All five of us looked amazing, and the makeup applications lasted throughout the wedding. I've never received so many compliments on how I looked.

Josie is awesome! I was married in September 2008. My wedding was the last of 4 family weddings in 2008. We spent so much time focusing on the May wedding of my stepdaughter and the July wedding of my stepson that we only had about 3 months to put ours together. A few weeks before the wedding I realized that I needed to consider makeup. Josie had done my makeup for a photo shoot about 2 years ago and lucky for me she was available!She made this 49 y/o "first time" bride look and feel like a young beauty queen! Let me be clear- I still looked like me - only more radiant, more beautiful and of course, more confident on my wedding day. You should have seen the smile on my fiance's face when I began my walk up the aisle...Even my grown step-daughter (a true beauty) said "you should wear makeup more often - you look wonderful!" Other 'professionals" have done my makeup (for wedding parties) and I was always disappointed because I came away looking like someone else, or with colors that weren't right for me. On my wedding day, I made the mistake of not budgeting enough time for both hair and makeup for my mom, my two attendents and myself. Josie was upbeat and helpful and collaborated with the stylist and my photographer to make sure`that everything got done on-time without the usual wedding day drama. Beyond being an excellent makeup artist with wonderful products, Josie is a professional in every way! She is very organized! You can count on her to show up, on-time and prepared! She has a dynamic and friendly personality, and her calm and reassuring demeanor is jsut what every bride deserves on her wedding day!Pictures don't lie! I was so blessed to find Josie Vega after a few months of searching for the right makeup artist for my wedding. She was patient, kind and very informative. You can pick up her professionalism and experience in the first few minutes of a trial.She knew what I needed down to the type of foundation and lipstick colors that would be just right for the photos. Josie traveled to my home and was right on time on the day of my wedding. She provided makeup to my maid of honor and one of my bridesmaids as well as me, the bride. We were all very happy with the results. We all received great compliments on our appearance on that very special day. Thanks for everything Josie, you are the best!

Josie Vega provided exceptional makeup services on my wedding day, and in a very crunched time period. She took care of 7 bridesmaids, one MOB and one crazy bride, all in 5 hours! And everyone looked natural, luminous and completely flawless. The proof was in the pictures, just stunning.

From the very first day my mom and I met Josie we new she was the one that we wanted to do our makeup for my wedding day. A few months prior to my wedding Josie helped us prepare our faces by selling us products that would help make us look beautiful for the "Big Day". We had scheduled Josie to come to my parentÂ’s house the morning of. She was professional as always and on time. In fact she was a few minutes early. She fit right in with all my family and friends. Through out the months that we prepared and got to know Josie she became more than my make up artist - she became my friend. I highly recommend her service!!!

Josie did the makeup for my sister's wedding in August of 2007 then again for my wedding in October 2007. We did a trial before my wedding. When I arrived home and looked at my makeup in more natural light, I decided I wanted to make a change. She had me come back in with no hassle and no questions asked. Throughout my experiences, she was always professional, flexible and reachable. I never waited more than a day for her to call me back, and she was always on time for our appointments. Josie did my makeup for my June wedding and it looked fantastic! My maid of honor and I were finished before I knew it, which is big plus when trying to do a thousand things on the big day! My ceremony started and I cried through the entire thing! I was sure that I would have streaks down my face and all of my makeup ruined only a couple of hours into my day, but to my surprise everything was still perfect! The makeup lasted through all the crying and then through the June heat! Josie did a wonderful job and I still go back to her sore for her products and expertise!
