Flowers by Nine

just to be clear, i did contact glenine before i wrote this review because i wanted to be fair and honest and hear her side of the story before i provided her with a negative review.i'll just provide facts here so that this review will be useful to other brides looking for a florist.glenine was very nice throughout the entire planning process. my husband and i met with her several times in her home prior to the wedding to review details and make sure we were on the same page. even my mother met with her to deliver centerpiece materials and helped glenine build our chuppah, which she charged us extra for. i provided lots of photos of the exact centerpieces i wanted, which were fairly simple arrangements of 3-4 bud vases with several flower stems in each surrounded by votive candles. here is what we got:- the white flowers in my bouquet were brown- the white and yellow flowers in my bridesmaids' bouquets were brown- the boutonnieres barely stayed together for the ceremony. all of the buds fell off the stems by the time the reception started - each bud vase, regardless of size, got exactly one flower stem in each. in some small vases (with a one inch opening or less) it didn't look too terrible. in other, larger vases it looked just pitiful. regardless, the arrangement and amount of flowers did not match the pictures i provided or the price i paid. picture a table that fits 12 people with exactly 4 stems of flowers on it. pitiful.and the worst from her was her attitude on the day of. i chose a gorgeous venue with a gorgeous outdoor wedding garden for our ceremony. unfortunately it rained all afternoon so we were unable to get married outside. obviously this is upsetting to a bride but i had to just roll with it and work with option b, which was to get married in our ballroom. this obviously changes the way things are set up so i went down to see how the room was looking several hours before the wedding. glenine was in there with her assistant setting up and when i asked her simple questions about how things were looking she acted as if she was annoyed that i was there. my bridesmaids offered to help her as well and they told me she was very short with them, too. also, my husband informed me after the fact that he was asked to bring in parts of the chuppah that we paid an extra set-up fee for.in short, i would not recommend working with glenine. i did contact her after the wedding to let her know how upset i was and she refused to accept any responsibility or offer any sort of refund.

Flowers By Nine was excellent! Glenine made all my flowers look amazing! I couldn't have asked for a better florist!

Glenine was very helpful and warm. She made me feel very at home picking out my arrangements. Everything came out beautiful and the set-up was very organized the day of the wedding. The centerpieces and arrangements turned out great.

Flowers by Nine was fantastic. Glenine helped make my 10 year wedding vow renewal the most magical night of my life. I wanted simple but beautiful and that is what I got. Glenine took time to get to know my personality and style and then made the suggestions that perfectly complimented my taste. The pricing was very reasonable as well. I was thrilled with the flowers Glenine arranged for both Helen and Rachael's weddings in July 2008 and November 2008. Her colors matched the individual personality of each ceremony perfectly and I have recommended her at every opportunity and will continue to do so. I only wish I had asked her for an extra orchid plant from Rachael's wedding b/c a friend who attended the wedding still has hers flowering!!! She was very patient with us on both occasions and a pleasure to work with She made a very important and beautiful contribution to the success of two lovely days.

Glenine Gregory-Ryan at Flowers by Nine is amazing. The flowers she provided for our wedding were incredible. She has fabulous and creative ideas. Glenine makes you feel comfortable and she is so easy to work with. I didn't worry about anything at all. The floral arrangements and decorations she provided were gorgeous. Everything far exceeded my expectations and her prices were extremely fair. I would highly recommend Glenine for your wedding or any other kind of event. You won't regret it!
