Knoll Country Club

The Knoll West CC offers an excellent venue for weddings. The food is excellent and the number of selections for both the cocktail hour and the venetian table are phenominal. Also, they had 3 bars set up in the rooms which meant our guests did not have to wait in long lines for drinks. Great all inclusive price as well. So then why would we rate it only 3 Stars? Well first of all for every meeting where we had a scheduled appointment we waited for 30 minutes to an hour before we were seen. More importantly if you want anything special done the day of the wedding you cannot count on them to do it. Drinks for our guests in the Grill Room (where they are ushered to if they arrive before the cocktail hour) were suppose to be complimentary but the bartender was charging everyone. My sister-in-law told him they were suppose to be complimentary but he said no and kept on charging our guests. When you are told something like this it is irresponsible not to check with the manager. If we had known about it we would not have tipped the manager (the only tip you are expected to give). Next we were suppose to have sparklers lit when the bride and groom were announced but the staff never told the guests so they were wasted and something the bride really wanted was not done. We also bought a signature cling for the dance floor with the bride and groom's initials. There was a test strip that was to be put down first to make sure there would be no problems removing it. But even tho the manager had this in advance this was never done and the $100 cling was wasted. One of the worst parts of the evening was the sudden rush to get everything done, i.e cut the cake, toss the bouquet etc. Suddenly we were being rushed by the manager because everything had to be done and it was getting late. This is something they do all the time so they should know exactly when it needs to be done and not cause the family great stress by rushing it. Our guests had a wonderful time and are still talking about what a great wedding it was. Thankfully they do not know what wasn't done.

We worked with Louis from beginning to end. He was extremely nice and made sure that our day ran smoothly. The food was excellent and the place looked beautiful.

This was a fantastic place to hold our wedding. The atmosphere was elegant, the service was excellent and the food couldn't have been better. All the little things we were promised came through and everything flowed smoothly. I still hear from my guests how much they enjoyed the wedding and I think the Knoll was a big part of it. Plus, my husband is a golf fanatic and he liked the idea of being around a golf course!

the knoll is absolutely amazing, i know that there where some bad reviews which where NOT deserved, especially since the new owners have arrived. Maria and Luis both helped to make my wedding day AMAZING, the food the room and the atmosphere at the Knoll is perfect i would recommend anyone there do not be deterred by some of the bad reviews, you should go and have a appointment with the new owner maria and luis they will take care of you 100%

We used the Knoll Country Club East for our wedding reception and we loved it! The setting was beautiful and it was perfect for our smaller wedding. The tent used for cocktail hour provided a great atmosphere for a nice summer day (luckily it wasn't too hot the day of our wedding). The food was great and the my guests loved the dessert options. We met with the manager, Lois, a few times before the wedding. He was pretty helpful prior to our wedding, but at our reception we had a Maitre d' that we had never met before. It would have been nice to have met the Maitre d' prior to the wedding. We loved the Knoll and would recommend it to others.

The Knoll did an amazing job for our wedding. We dealt directly with Louis and he was very helpful and accommodating to any of our requests. At the end of the night I'd say that we received a fair price for everything that we paid for at the Knoll. I'd definitely recommend them to any future brides!

I got married October of 2009 at the Knoll West. I was unhappy with my ma?tre d? Lois. We waiting for 30-45 min everytime we had an appointment with him. He was not helpful with questions and made us feel stupid for the questions we did ask. The day of the wedding it rained in the morning but was clear and 70 degrees by 3pm when I arrived. He proceeded to tell me we would not have the ceremony outside (after I paid a outside ceremony fee). I had to argue with the himand with a little help from my photgrapher (who thought the weather was fine to have outside) we had the ceremony outside. He was rude and walked away while speaking to me. I wouldnt have been mad if he approached me nicer and suggested maybe they should set up inside just in case. I was really annoyed and had to go put on a pretend happy face to take pictures. During the reception they closed down one of the bars to use the bartender to set up dessert stations. When the one bar open got too crowded I asked Lois to re-open a bar because the bartender was overwelmed and was being rude to my guests. He did nothing. He ok'ed me and walked away. I tried not to let him ruin my day but it was difficult not too. I tried to call after the wedding to speak to a manager and they never returned my call. The food was good and the facility is nice but I would suggest a different ma?tre d?.

I got married in the Knoll East and it was the perfect place for our wedding. The staff was extremely helpful in accommodating all of our requests. Having the cocktail hour in the tent was perfect and something different than we had seen at any other catering hall. Best of all the food was incredible, even to this day our guests cannot stop talking about it!

I was married at the Knoll East. The room was absolutely gorgeous, the tent was amazing and the views were breathtaking! I will say that I did have some trouble with getting a hold of manager and he forgot to book my rehearsal. They did end up fixing the problem, but it did not help my nerves the day before my wedding. The actual day went off without a hitch though. The matre' d helped out with everything, the food was great and everyone had a great time. Overall I would recommend them, but dont be surprised if there are a few bumps in the road.

Great food! Great staff! The entire night was a stress free night...I heard nothing but rave reviews of how great the food was from the cocktail hour to the end of night with the over the top dessert tables. I have always gone to weddings there and couldn't wait until it was my turn. Kyp was my consultant throughout the night and he work side by side with Louis to make sure my night was perfect. I had champagne in my bridal sweet upon arrival...the guest were kindly guided to all locations... It was just perfect...!

The Staff at the Knoll was exceptional when it came to customer service. They were accomodating and very helpful through the entire process. The day of the wedding they were phenominal! They took care of us and our families very well. They constantly asked us if we needed anything. The Cake was beautiful and tasty; they made it even more beautiful than the picture we provided. The food was plentiful and our guests said it was very good.

I had my senior prom at the Knoll country club WEST in 2002. So I knew I liked the place. The west has a beautiful view of the private golf course and has an indoor cocktail room, and a huge front room when you first walk in. We had our wedding pictures taken outside by the gazebo. The people were very nice and flexable and were there if I needed anything. The food was excellent. I had family and friends call me the week after the wedding to tell me how beautiful the hall was and how amazing the food was.

Promised many things and did not follow any of our requests. Was invasive in our affair, our pictures. Lack of professionalism. Did not cater to the bride as requested (i.e. bring champagne before the ceremony). Bar tender went on break and asked guest to serve. Would NEVER recommend this place. Dance floor broke and held up affair for 45 min. AWFUL! Never responded to our complaints

I got married two months ago and I still get notes and emails from family and friends saying that my wedding was the most unique and elegant wedding they have ever been to. Cocktail hour was absolutly amazing!! They have everything you can think of and dessert was even better. There is no extra charge for the dessert and there were about 30 options--things were lit on fire, there was a chocholate fountian with everything you can imagine to dip in and more!! The people/staff were wonderful. I can not say one bad thing about them.

I have attended many events at the Knoll Country Club and as always the food and service was excellent. I highly recommend this venue for a wedding reception. The grounds offer a beautiful setting for photographs and there is a balcony outside of the hall that allows people to sit outside and enjoy the sunset and the weather, without being far away from the reception. Everything that we planned with the manager, came through. The staff the evening of the wedding were all friendly, helpful and ran the reception with ease.

We had an excellent experience with minor concerns. Overall it was a great experience, the only glitch was that we were supposed to have a choice of entree at the table for our guests, instead they gave all of our guests a combo plate of steak and chciken, which was great except there were several guests that did not care for the combo and would have preferred to select their meal. Also, the manager was supposed to be our matre 'd for the night, but there was a last minute substitution of someone I did not know and was not as comfortable with.

Everything was absolutely wonderful. The food was amazing! The location was beautiful! The only downfall is PLEASE KEEP ALL PERSONAL ITEMS CLOSE. Like every bride, at the end of the night I took off my shoes and left them right in front of my table. In my wedding video you see them there the whole time. UNTIL SOMEONE STOLE THEM!!!! I went back the next day and noone fessed up to taking them or seeing them. I have been sooo upset. PLEASE KEEP ALL THINGS CLOSE!!!!

Our experience with the Knoll was great. Kip was the most respectful and detailed coordinator I have ever met. We have since recommended the Knoll to several of our friends.

The Knoll Country Club was a wonderful place to have a wedding. We had our ceremony overlooking the golfcourse. The food was amazing, lots and lots of food. Kip was our matre' D and he was the best. I would recommend the Knoll Country Club to anyone getting married in the Northern New Jerey Area. I was married almost 5 years ago, and family and friends still say to this date that it was the best wedding they have ever been too.
