Everything was Perfect! posted 10/20/2011 We celebrated our wedding at the Grain House on 10/8/2011. I am from that area in NJ and always knew the Olde Mill/Grain House as being a lovely venue. We were not disappointed. Our ceremony/cocktail reception were run smoothly and our guests raved about the venue, ambiance and food. Tomas Ordonez, our wedding manager, was top notch and kept us at ease throughout the planning process and on the big day. The mimosas at 11am didn't hurt either. : ) I train people in customer service and have very high expectations. I was not disappointed. If you want a lovely venue which is run by true professionals we highly recommend the Olde Mill Inn/Grain House Restaurant. Ask for Tomas!

The Olde Mill Inn is fantastic. We were married there on September 24 and went through roughly one year of planning with two primary contacts at the venue (Marien and Tomas). Both individuals were wonderful to work with, and our guests raved about the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the food. The setting itself was perfect. One of the venue's greatest qualities is that it's very classy without being over the top. An added bonus: the rooms at the hotel are extremely comfortable and rival most five-star hotels. Seriously, we had no complaints.

Our wedding at the Olde Mill was fabolous! Our Maitre D Marien was awesome! She understood what was important to us and made sure everything ran smooth. I hear nothing but great things from our guests especially that the food was amazing. would definitely recommend this venue to future brides. The rooms are very accomodating and the service from all of the staff is wonderful! You are bound to enjoy the Olde Mill and the staff!

We were married at the Olde Mill Inn on August 19, 2011. We had an amazing day, and the Olde Mill Inn was a perfect backdrop for our wedding. The hotel is beautiful, the food was delicious, and the service second to none. Tomas our maitre d was wonderful and went out of his way to make sure that everything was perfect for us. Our guests are still talking about the amazing food, convenient rooms, and overall great party. I am so happy we decided to have our reception at the Olde Mill Inn.

The only place to have your wedding!!! They have it all and they do it all with such style and grace. The entire staff was a delight to work with and they granted all are requests. The wedding was beyond anything we imagined and the reception was out of this world. I can not thank them enough for the dream wedding always wished for.

The Olde Mill Inn made our wedding reception an amazing event. All our relatives and friends keep complimenting us on our wedding and how wonderful everything was. We definitely did a thorough search of venues since we toured and met with over 20 venues before we decided on the OMI. The majority of our 200 guests were coming from out of town so having the hotel there was a huge perk. It was so nice to not have to worry about shuttling guests and everyone was able to enjoy themselves more knowing they just had to walk upstairs to their rooms when it was over. Plus, The Grain House next door is very accommodating for guests to go hangout after the wedding if you want the party to continue. We had Tomas as our Maitre'D and I was so pleased. He was very attentive and went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect. He even found blue Maraschino cherries so they would look cool in our Blue Hawaiian cocktails. We were able to relax the day of our wedding because we had gone over every detail with him and we totally trusted that he had things taken care of. He also made sure that me and my husband got to taste all our h'orderves at the cocktail hour by bringing out a tray for just us during our photos. Our friends loooved the mashed potato bar, wok station and hibachi station. The OMI does several wedding shows throughout the year for potential brides so I highly recommend going. They are free and you get to sample many of the different stations and popular h'orderves. We actually were way more impressed with the food the day of our wedding then we were at the shows. We know we could not have found a better location for our event!

We had our reception at the Hunt room. The food and service were both fabalous. The chef and our maitre D, Tomas both sat down with us to go over the menu in detail. Tomas took detailed notes as to all the things we wanted to make sure our night was perfect- and it was! The cocktail hour food as well as the main courses were all delicious. They also took care to make sure the whole evening flowed smoothly from the moment we arrived through our very last dance and a final glass of wine with friends. Many people reached out to us and told us that they had a wonderful time.

I LOVED having my wedding at the Olde Mill Inn. I have heard nothing but rave reviews from all my guests since the wedding!My husband found the venue and though I was initially looking for modern style decor, I definitely had to open my mind to this place. Marien showed us around, and immediately treated us like family. She is so bubbly and welcoming, and one of the reasons we fell in love with Olde Mill, to be honest! She worked with us throughout the process until we were assigned a Maitre D – John - who was equally as fantastic. They were both so easily accessible through email and phone, or even if we walked in to ask a question. I had so many details at our wedding, and he was receptive to each one. We felt like we were the only couple he was working with. And forget it - the day of, he was heaven sent! He took care of everything flawlessly and we didn't need to worry.The place itself has a quaint 1800s Inn feel, and was really lovely to have people stay over there the night before - it felt like I was staying with all my family at a bed-and-breakfast, or someone's large home. The staff was very professional, and the food was out of this world. The courtyard they use for the ceremony is absolutely gorgeous, and is what sold me initially. Unfortunately it did rain on our day, and they set up the ceremony in half the ballroom. I was VERY concerned that it wouldn't look as nice, but it looked PHENOMENAL. They did a great job and in a short timeframe. So I would definitely say this place has a solid rain plan.If I had to give a critique, it would be that if you do get rained out, and you hired a photojournalistic photog like I did, there are less opportunities for pictures. I was banking on strolling the grounds outside for pictures (which are lovely), but I was restricted to a few places inside the Inn.For the amount and quality of food and the quality of service, I would say the prices were more than reasonable. We had 150 people on a Sunday afternoon, and for food, reception, ceremony, and cake, we paid about $20k. If you've priced out other places in NJ, you know that is comparable, or even a bargain! I would highly recommend you take a look at Olde Mill. They really helped us have the wedding we were picturing.

The Olde Mill Inn was the PERFECT venue. Everyone is still raving about our venue, a month later. Some of the feedback from our guests "they kept the table nice and clean, took empty glasses away, and kept refilling ours, we never even had to get up to go to the bar", "the food was wonderful, better than any wedding we've ever been to", "this place is beautiful". I have NOTHING negative to say about the Olde Mill Inn. Marien booked us and John was our maitre'd. They were both there whenever you needed them throughout the entire planning process. The night of our wedding my parents had one of the suites booked, and the other one had never been booked, so they upgraded my husbands mother at no charge (they really upgraded us, but we gave it to her so she could entertain afterwards). The whole experience was wonderful! We booked the venue because it was so gorgeous, but it rained like hell the day of our wedding, but it didn't even matter. We were just so happy, and the inside is just as gorgeous!

WOW is all I can say. The Olde Mill Inn exceeded my expectations!! From the first time we went there to see it to the day of the wedding, they were incredible to work with and everyone was so nice when we called with any questions. We were in the Washington Ballroom, and we were concerned the size of our wedding would be a little small for the room. We were told not to worry about it, and they were right. They made the room look absolutely beautiful down to every detail! We really wanted to do the ceremony outside, but we decided it was too cold for our guests, but we did do the pictures outside and the courtyard was just lovely. Our cake was delicious and beautiful too (ordered through the Olde Mill Inn using the bakery they work with). It was exactly what we wanted. And the food was delicious!! I wish I had eaten more of it, but we got so many rave reviews! Also, we got a lot of compliments on how good the service there was - how guests never had to ask for a refill of drinks or anything and that the waiters were very attentive. Our maitre'd (Marien) made sure the night ran smoothly and was always there if we needed anything. This was the perfect venue for us, and they really made our night incredibly special!

The Olde Mill Inn was such a perfect setting for our ceremony and reception. Our maitre d', John, was so accommodating and helpful no matter how many questions or concerns we had. On the day of the wedding, it started raining about an hour and a half before our ceremony, which was supposed to take place outside. John let us wait to see if the rain would stop until the last moment before we had to start the ceremony. I appreciated that so much even though the rain didn't stop! They were able to transform the ballroom into a lovely ceremony room. And once it was set up for the reception it honestly didn't even feel like it was the same room the ceremony had just taken place in.Our friends and family couldn't stop raving about the food. One said that they had never seen so many passed h'ordeuvres at wedding. Also we had never seen waiters take drink orders tableside at a wedding before. We thought it was just for us but then guests kept coming up to us excited that they were bringing them drinks as well!The cake was just perfect. When we went in to make our food choices we were given a bunch of different cake design options but I had something specific in mind. They put me in touch with the baker and he was able to recreate it perfectly. I loved the cake...it was so yummy too!Overall, The Olde Mill Inn did an exceptional job for us. Everything went off without a hitch and we were thrilled with our wedding.

This was absolutely the best ! The staff, food, location, etc. were perfect. Our maitre de' (Lilndsay) was incredible. We were able to attend a tasting, practice our dance at the venue several times, call with questions about details. Everything was done professionally and carefully. My wedding day was the best day ever, and much of the credit goes to the superb care given to details by the staff at OMI. Nearly one month later, guests are still talking about the amazing food.

Our ceremony and reception were at the Grain House, a quaint, historical building on the grounds of the hotel. Both were fantastic - our maitre'd Lindsay was wonderful. Guests raved about the food, service and attention to detail shown by the staff. Overall, my husband and I had a wonderful time and highly recommend Olde Mill and Lindsay.

We cannot say enough positive comments about the Olde Mill Inn and Grain House. From the moment we visited to see the site, the staff was attentive and accomodating. They were available by phone and email and answered all questions with ease. Our wedding day was perfect from start to finish! The staff was super and Lindsay Stewart was a pleasure to work with. She was easy to talk to, fun to share the day with and she made sure that everything was perfect, without us needing to ask or say anything. And she was even our "DJ" as she worked the ipod for the music! Our guests raved about everything...the food, service, beautiful setting, accomodations and the overall quality of the event. Lindsay Stewart and Lindsey Smilie were amazing to work with and even after the wedding, the emailed us to check in. Again, we HIGHLY recommend the OMI and Grain House for ANY event. We plan to go back every chance we get.

They did a wonderful job with our ceremony and wedding. The food was outstanding and the guests raved about everything afterwards. They did everything possible to make it a wonderful day for us and we could not have been happier with their service and attention to detail.

The Olde Mill Inn is a beautiful Inn and reception venue. The center courtyard is the perfect location for a ceremony and/or cocktail hour. Almost half our guests stayed at the hotel and loved the rooms. The best part of the Olde Mill Inn is the staff. We found Marien and the Olde Mill Inn extremely helpful. We did not hire a wedding consultant, but found Marien was there every step of the way to guide us. We couldn't have done it without her. Olde Mill Inn was extremely flexible and gave us the wedding of our dreams. We had such an easy and fun planning experience and it was all because of Marien and the Olde Mill Inn. The day of, the food was fabulous and the staff was great. Everyone was very attentive not only to us, but our guests as well. We still get rave reviews from friends and are excited to have other events there in the future. We would recommend the Olde Mill Inn to everyone. If you want the wedding of your dreams, you have to have it there!! Call now, ask for Marien!!!!

Loved the Olde Mill. Food was excellent and the reception area beautiful. It's quaint, but not small. The service was fantastic and they catered to the bride and groom on our day. I couldn't beat the price for service and quality of the event. They were very accomodating and responsive to my requests. Great hotel too.

I have only high praise for you guys. Everything was tasteful and elegant; the entire venue was scrupulously clean, and the staff were extremely professional and attentive. We felt like we were "in good hands" throughout the planning process and the reception itself. The food was just perfect and we have received many compliments on it from our friends and family!

From start to finish my husband and I found everything we needed and fell in love with everything the Olde Mill Inn had to offer. They were extremely accommodating, helpful and between Marian Barker our Maitre De to our Chef, Walter Leffler, any worry or doubt we might have had quickly melted away. Our day was flawlessly perfect. If we had the money we'd throw the same party every year at the Olde Mill Inn. We cannot thank them enough for providing the most memorable day for the start of our life together!

The Olde Mill Inn hosted a fantastic ceremony and reception for our July 24, 2009 wedding. From the moment we arrived for the rehearsal, OMI graciously took over gift bags for the guests, center piece additions for the reception, the card box, favors...EVERYTHING...and allowed the entire bridal party to simply relax. We had a rehearsal dinner at the Grain House - which was divinely set up for an intimate gathering (we had free reign over the entire downstairs, a private bar tender, and use of the garden/patio outside). The day of the wedding, the baker (Gourtmet Delights - the baker offered through OMI) had a question about the cake, and John (my maitre'd) asked enough questions to not upset anyone, but answered the baker clearly enough to have the most perfect cake. More than a year later, people are still raving about the food (which, by the way, you get to taste at an adorable food-tasting event), the rooms (go green!), the the provided brunch the next day. And - OMI thanks the bride and groom with a dinner gift certificate to come back to the Grain House for their one year anniversary!
