The Groove Shop, SilverPro Entertainment, Fairlawn, NJ I had almost given up on finding a wedding band- a popular local band wasn’t available on my date, all six NYC bands I investigated had top rankings in NY Magazine and on websites like The Knot and Wedding Wire but seriously failed to impress me in person- none had an amazing female singer, a few wouldn’t guarantee that the singers I saw perform would be there on my wedding night and one seemed to be having their own party on stage. I called my venue and begged them for the name of their favorite band- that is when I finally learned of The Groove Shop, a band run by Addie Silver in Fairlawn, NJ. Addie and her brother grew up involved in a wedding band run by their parents, who were also teachers. She ran The Rhythm Shop with her brother until a few years ago, when she went out on her own with The Groove Shop. The band has 2 female and 2 male black lead singers with a precision, depth and strength of vocals that, unlike other wedding bands, is so unbelievable that you would actually pay to hear them in concert. The musicians are extremely skilled, sometimes sounding better than the song they are covering! The best compliment came from a young female attendee at my wedding who said she was going to plan an event just so she could hire this band and let all of her friends in NY hear them. On top of sounding fabulous, the band really can sing anything- from Notorious B.I.G. to Frank Sinatra to Volare- the sound they produce is so passionate and amazing that you will be sad when your wedding is over. I cancelled my father-daughter and mother-son dances so that we would be able to have two more songs from The Groove Shop to dance to!!!! Addie is professional, accommodating and a sweetheart- I trusted her to help me select many of our special songs. Before you spend days as I did going down the list of “best bands” in NY Magazine, call Addie and go to Fairlawn to listen for yourself- your search will be over. They are one of only two vendors that lived up to my expectations 100%- and I think I set the bar pretty high. Even if you live many miles away, bringing them to your town is worth every penny. They are the only vendor I thought should have been MORE...

Still tired...from ALL the dancing we did. The band was amazing with meeting with us, to learning songs for us for both the ceremony and reception which were done PERFECTLY. Every band member was shocked with the energy our crowd brought them, but they played up to the crowd where we are still hearing stories and having people ask more about them. We can't thank them enough for all the party rockin'!!!

BEST WEDDING BAND-EVER! The Groove Shop is the slightly smaller but just as amazing sister band to the Rhythm shop. Addie does an amazing job treating her clients like gold. Her goal is to make sure that you have a great party, and we certainly did. We have gotten comment after comment on how the band was the best they ever heard, and wanted to know where they played live! We also had a small issue with the venue about where to put the band, and Addie stepped in like a professional and gave us her best opinion, which was the BEST thing to do. I would recommend them to anyone, and I suggest you call quick because they book fast!

The rhythm shop is by far the absolute best in the business. They were a recommendation of our venue, The Rockleigh. We had meetings with some other bands, and saved our meeting with The Rhythm Shop for last. We met with David and were immediately impressed not only by his talent but the passion for his work. He spent about 2-3 hours with us going over different types of music that the band offered, and differences with the emsembles. We decided to add a trumpet and a vocalist (who specialized in Frank Sinatra, etc) to the base of 10 pieces for a total of 12 pieces. We only had to meet with him one other time prior to the wedding to review song choices and the rest of the process was able to be handled via email and phone which made it very convenient. On the night of the wedding, they kept the party on the dance floor from beginning to end. We were so happy with our choice to have them play at our wedding and would definitely recommend them to everyone and anyone looking for entertainment that will literally amaze you!

Let's face it--a great band makes a great wedding and The Rhythm Shop is great proof of that! My daughter, husband and I were sold on the Rhythm Shop the day we met with David Silver. His studio presentation that highlighted his band was phenomenal. We left with the band's CD and knew as we listened to it on the way home that this band would be playing at the wedding. Dealing with David every step of the way was delightful. This band offers outstanding musicians and performers who put their heart and soul into what they do and this was obvious on the night of my daughter's wedding. There was never a lull in the night as The Rhythm Shop plays continuous music for five hours. The band was able to read the crowd perfectly and the dance floor was busy all night. We could not have asked for more!

We stumbled upon the rhythm shop at a band showcase in NYC and loved them. They are incredibly unique in that they can play an array of music- from pop, to 80s rock, to latin/italian. They really got the crowd out of their seats and dancing the whole night. I cannot tell you how many emails and phone calls we got after the wedding raving about the band. We are dying for one of our friends to hire them, so we can have as much fun at their weddings as we did at out own. I highly recommend them!

Fantastic! Worth every penny! Such variety and range! Everyone was dancing all night long thanks to David Silver and The Rhythm Shop. There was a lull on the dance floor right after dinner, the full-belly laziness kicking in. Group dances are usually pretty corny, but they got all the ladies on the floor for Tina Turner's Rollin' on a River, from there into a congo line and everyone was back on their feet dancing the night away. It was not corny at all :) Every single person at the wedding was impressed!

I wish I could give the Rhythm Shop more than 5 stars. This band was absolutely amazing and helped make our wedding perfect. From the second we walked into the room, the dance floor was packed. They kept the party going the entire time and played such a great variety of music that people of all ages were having a blast. David is a professional and was great to work with from the day one, and the whole band is extremely talented! Our guests were coming up to us the entire night telling us that Rhythm Shop was the best band they ever heard. If you want a good party, use the Rhythm Shop!

The Rhythm Shop is unbelievable! We went to hear them play at The Blend in Ridgefield, NJ and when I could not stop dancing all night, I knew we had to book them. From the very beginning, Dave Silver was amazing and attentive to everything we wanted for our wedding. He was easy to communicate via email or telephone and gave his professional advice when we asked for it. Nothing could prepare us for the actual wedding night however. Having The Rhythm Shop play was like having our own personal concert. Every guest was on the dance floor from the very beginning of the night. They played all requested songs perfectly and even learned a few new ones for us. Some of our favorites parts were how interactive they were with the crowd. They came into the audience and had the guests sing into the mic, they brought the instruments onto the dance floor, they brought shakers, started a That's Amore sing along during dinner, and lined the girls up to dance to Proud Mary. They were so engaging and high energy that it was hard to sit down. They played continuously all night long. I would highly recommend Dave Silver and The Rhythm Shop...they are worth every penny.

We hired TRS for our April 30th, 2011 wedding. We saw them at their showcase 18 months prior and knew we had to have them at our wedding. Well, they lived up to and exceeded EVERY expectation we had. We had a very young wedding- 240 people, 175 under the age of 40, and our dance floor was packed all night long. Every single person who we have spoken to since has commented how great the band was and how it was the best band they have ever seen. I hope I can attend a wedding soon that they play as I just want to hear them again! David is a true pro in every sense, we took his advice across the board and had the wedding of our dreams! If you want to have a fun upbeat dance all night wedding, this is the band for you..there is no competition! The party started after our first dance and didnt stop going until the very end!

All I can say is you have to hear The Groove Shop band play live. It made our day and all our guests can't stop talking about the music and the raves keep coming. We had a great venue with awesome food but its truly all about the band. For 4 hours our dance floor was full and it felt like you were listening to the original music but even better. They have lights on stage that makes it feel like you are watching a concert. Too cool for words. We found them through a friend and do we owe her a huge THANK YOU to her for putting us in touch with this group. Its a family owned thing and they were so easy to deal with and made all our wishes come true. Can't say enough. They were a bit out of our budget but was worth every penny we spent! Call them now because we have refered them a bunch of times and the dates were gone so don't wait.....it was the best part of our wedding hands down!!

We could not have asked for greater entertainment! We were unsure of whether to go with a DJ or a band, and as soon as we meet David Silver we knew we had to have the Rhythm Shop perform at our wedding! We lived in CT but were getting married in NJ and they were very flexible with meeting times, discussing details, etc. But above all, they made our wedding reception a time to remember, and everytime we've seen somebody since our wedding the first thing they start talking about is the band! Just their performance convinced some of our friends to have bands at their own weddings. From our older relatives to our little cousins, everybody agreed that the music was clear, well orchestrated, and thoroughly enjoyable to listen or dance to!

I can't say enough wonderful things about the Rhythm Shop. My husband and I hired them for our October 2010 wedding and they were amazing. Working with Dave was wonderful - he was always accomodating and responsive. He listened to all of our requests and delivered everything we asked for. The band was fantastic - energetic, fun and most of all TALENTED! Most people who don't go for bands usually like to say its because they want to hear the song as it was originally recorded. With the Rhythm Shop, this isn't a problem. Each song they played sounded like the recording. At the end of the night they played Empire State of Mind and all of our guests were floored at how well they pulled off such a difficult song sung by Jay Z and Alicia Keys - it was incredible. The Rhythm Shop made our entire wedding - guests are still talking about how fantastic they were. Booking them was the best decision we made and I couldn't be happier. Thank you Dave and the Rhythm Shop for making my wedding unforgettable!

We honestly don’t know where to begin…my husband and I had The Rhythm Shop perform at our September 2010 wedding, and words cannot express how amazing they are. Working with Dave was wonderful! From the initial planning stages, to song selection - he was always accommodating and professional. The band engaged the crowd and kept the dance floor packed all night! Comments like, “they are the BEST WEDDING BAND we’ve EVER seen” were heard again and again (and still heard to this day!) Their talent, range, and energy are sheer perfection. They are the real deal! The band was excellent and everyone at the wedding said how good the music was. They really got people up and dancing. I do want to mention though how we were a little disappointed that we specifically requested one song and they didnt play it. When the wedding ended, we had to go up and ask them to play it. Luckily, they obliged and we got to hear our song.

There were two things I was sure of when I got engaged 18 months ago, my fiance of course, and my band, The Rhythm Shop. My husband and I had the privilege to hear the rhythm shop at a wedding when we were dating and we both knew then that they are the greatest band we have ever heard. The day after I got engaged I contacted David Silver of The Rhythm Shop to square away a date....yes, I know it sounds crazy, I PLANNED MY WEDDING DATE AROUND THIS BAND! They are that good! The rhythm shop far exceeded all of my expectations at the wedding. The music was awesome and NO ONE sat down the entire night!!! And the most fantastic part of it all was the fact that I picked only 3 songs the entire night! This band can totally read a crowd! It was the most fun I have ever had and I can't say enough wonderful things about The Rhythm shop. The rhythm shop is the perfect band.... one of my guests said it the best, " if you close your eyes at any time you actually feel like the original artist is in the room!" . Many guests are still asking about the band and my wedding would not have been the same without them. 5/5 doesn't really cut it..... this band is off the charts in every way! Easy to work with, nice, professional and even brought their own dinner so we didn't have to pay for more heads at the venue! Thanks again guys! Sure we will see you soon! I cannot say enough about David and his band! Just like all the other reviewers have said -- they were the best part of our wedding! Everyone is still talking about them and asking for the information to hire them! I had heard the Rhythm Shop at a friend's wedding so I knew I wanted to book them for mine. ... They can sing anything and sound wonderful ... Hire them!!! Trust me it will be the best decision you make for your wedding. Lara & Aaron

OMG OMG OMG!!! That is all I can say about this band!!! EVERYONE---and I mean even my grandmother who doesn't like loud music---left my wedding RAVING about this band! They are worth every cent---they perform every song like a professional band that has been together for centuries! They have a singer for every type of genre---you never realize you're not listening to the real artist. Their energy is off the charts and their chemistry with one another is addicting! No one had their shoes on mid-way through the reception because we were all dancing machines! As the bride--I never left the dancefloor! I honestly cannot praise this band enough--I bowed to David Silver at the end because there are no words to describe how they made my wedding the most amazing night of mine and my husband's life!! I can't wait to see them again!! Do NOT book any other band--they will never match up the amazing talent, dedication, and energy that the Rhythm Shop has!!! Love, love, love them!!!

Choosing this band for your wedding will be the smartest choice you can make for your event. I can say words like incredible, great, amazing, high energy. However words can not describe just how entertaining and professional The Rhythm Shop is. Every single guest that we speak to mentions how great the Rhythm Shop was. The kept the dance floor packed the entire night! Dave, the band leader just opened up his new office in Milford and it looks fantastic. Dave is extremely organized and detail oriented, he gave us great suggestions for which songs to play for ceremony, cocktail and reception. There were so many options for each part of the wedding, we were able to customize how we wanted to entertain our guests. For the ceremony we had a flute, classical guitar, and piano. Cocktail we had upright bass and piano, and the reception was the 11 piece band. They played a variety of music throughout the reception and they played NON-STOP!!! My wife and I have been to many other weddings that had a band for entertainment, all those other bands can not hold a candle to the Rhythm Shop. Rhythm Shop has their own dedicated sound technician throughout the event (most bands the sound person is one of the band members), it can not compare, most bands never have even and balanced sound, however Rhythm Shop sounded perfect and crisp and everything was balanced amazingly! They also provided their own lighting, and it looked incredible, it truly added to the ambiance of the room. We can not say enough how pleased we were with the Rhythm Shop!!! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!! We hope to see you guys at another wedding very soon!!!

The Rhythm Shop was excellent and everyone at the wedding rated it as the best wedding band they have ever heard! The band played every song with 100% and kept the party moving from start to finish. One thing that we didn't get to have that we had asked for was some specific mixes of Bruce that we were a little disappointed didn't happen but no one else noticed and rocked out until the end of the night!!
